Glittery two toned eye liner

Another work office look with some glitter: I used Maxfactor smokey eye effects in white as my usual base then applied a layer of Sin by Urban Decay all over my lids. Next up I applied a golden yellow eye coloured eye liner from Beauty UK on the inner corner to the middle, then a grey ish plum from the middle to the outer corner.

To finish I used Urban Decay glitter eye gel in Power Ballad over the top, curled by lashes and used my usual Maybelline Falsies mascara.

The Beauty UK jumbo pencils applied so smoothly (I won these in a giveaway a while back) I probably wouldn't use them all over the lid, but to add a splash of colour on the upper lash line these are great.

Even though this is an office look I had to add a bit of sparkle!

Playing with neon and glitter

I am having a few days off work which has been great, I haven't done too much but it is nice to just mooch around, have a few lie ins. I was playing around with my Sleek Acid eyeshadows again and this is what I came up with.

After priming my eyes I applied the white end of Maxfactor Smokey eye effects as a base. Then using the bright pink on the inner corner, orange on the outer corner and yellow on the crease. Next up I used three types of Urban Decay's glitter eye liners in Baked, stage Dive and Air Guitar.
Finally I used my fav mascara Maybelline Falsies in black.

I love playing around with new looks, I just love Sleek's Acid palette, this is the only item I own from the brand and would like to try out more products. They are always bringing new products out, so I am going to keep a look out to see what the future holds.

The glittering sunset

I went out with one of my friends for a meal last night, we had Mexican and it was lovely. Well, apart from the fact the restaurant charged us £4 for ketchup and mayo! I have never been charged that much for sauces! I also thought it was bad practice that the waitress didn't tell us about this extortionate charge. Has anyone else ever come across this before?!

For supper I wore a simple black dress and used my hair extensions for the first time.

This is the eye look I created for the night, I wanted to use bright summer colours and glitter.

To create this look I used orange and yellow from the Sleek acid i-divine palette and Maui Wowie, a lovely gold shade from Urban Decay. To finish I used Power Ballad from Urban Decay which is a dense multi coloured glitter on a clear base. I love this! it creates a gorgeous glittery sheen over the eye lid and once it dries it does not budge all night.
I then finished with my fav mascara, Maybelline falsies.

Neon lights

I haven't done any bright eye make up looks recently, so today I quite fancied playing around with bright colours. This is what I ended up with.

I used my Maxfactor smokey eye effects (the silver end) as a base, then I used pink, orange and yellow from the Sleek acid i-divine palette. Next using Urban Decay liquid eyeliner in Radium and Urban Decay glitter eye liner in Stagedive I lined the top lash line with alternating dots.
To finish I applied Maybelline False lash Effect mascara.

I miss using bright colours, I must not leave it so long to play with bold looks next time.

£1.99 for 3 Accessorize shadows

I went shopping and popped into Superdrug for a few bits, I am doing another swap with Nicole soon and she has asked for some polishes from Gosh. After I had found her polishes I discovered a bargain basket filled with sets of trios of Accessorize eye shadows for £1.99. I had to pick up a set because it was such a bargain, each shadow is normally £4 each.

I picked up the one which has lilac, slate grey and a pastel green.

I swatched each shadow on my arm over a white base (Maxfactor smokey eye effect) the colour transfered really well and is extremely pigmented. The shadows themselves feel silky and creamy which I love. Am going to try them out for work this week to see how the feel on my eyes and how long they last.

I am glad I picked these up, I love a bargain when I see one and I adore the bright colours.

Shattered and purple shimmer

For today's eye shadow look I wanted to use two colours which are a deep and shimmery, I went for Shattered from Urban Decay and a deep plum from MUA. I applied a white base, then applied shattered on the inner corners and MUA's purple on the outer corner. This is what I ended up with:

I really like this way this looks, purple and green seem to compliment each other well. I love the purple MUA shadow, for £1 an amazing colour and I recommend picking this up next time you go shopping. What colour combinations on your eyes are you wearing at the moment?

A sea of blues and greens

So the last post was a purple eye shadow look and I was saying how it was a nice change from my usual blue hues I go for. Having said that I woke up this morning and really wanted to use some fresh blues and greens because it was so bright and sunny outside, feels like spring had most definitely sprung. This is look I came up with:

After applying a white base I used three Barry M dazzle dusts, mint green on the inner corner, baby blue on the middle and finally electric blue on the outer corner and blending all three colours so there was no visible line. To finish I applied black mascara. I love my blues and greens, what colours do you love and keep going back to?

These are the products I used to create this look:

Raver Rainbow

My best friend is getting married in June and her hen do is in April, a small group of us are going down to Newquay in Cornwall for a weekend. Newquay is only about a hour and half from us in Devon, so not too far to travel.

For the Saturday night out she wants to have a raver theme as it should be easy for everyone to find bright and funky  clothing, face paints, leg warmers etc. I can't wait. I thought the Sleek Acid palette I got recently would be ideal to create a bright and colourful look for the evening. I wanted to have a trial run. I stumbled across a video on utube from xsparkage. She did some awesome rainbow eyes, so I wanted to create something similar using the colours from my Seek palette. This is the look:

For this look I used pink/red on the inner corner, then orange, yellow, green on the outer corner. To finish I used blue and purple eye liners from Gosh on the lower lash line and applied black mascara to the upper and lower lashes.

I love the way this turned out, so bright and perfect for a raver night out and will definitely use this look for the hen do. Hope you like this, would you ever dare to wear these colours?

Acid Blue oh how I love you

I was keen to try out my new Sleek Acid eye shadow palette which I got the a few days ago. I loved the look of the two blue shades in there. A gorgeous bright blue and then a darker shimmery version.

For this look I applied the light blue on the inner crease and the dark of the outer crease, blending the two together. To finish with I applied Urban Decay glitter eye liner in Spandex on the upper lash line.

Gorgeous colours! I just love the way they applied and they lasted right through the day with very little creasing. I am very impressed with how highly pigmented the colours are, they really pop. I really want to try out some more combinations, don't know how brave I will be to wear the bright pink and yellow though! Maybe more for a night time party look.
