Quick and easy office make up

Recently for work I have been playing around with using different colours over a liquid black eye liner. This time I have been opting for Barry M dazzle dust in lilac.

After applying my usual base of Maxfactor Smokey eye effects in white I applied Sin by Urban Decay all over by lid.

Then lined my upper lash line using a Smashbox black liquid eyeliner and waited for it to dry, next I apply the dazzle dust over the top on a damp angled brush.

I like the way having a different shadow over of the black liquid liner can be a quick and simple yet colourful way of jazzing up office (or everyday) makeup. Having a splash of colour makes a refreshing change to having it all over the lid.

A friend's hen dooooo

Hope everyone is having a good bank holiday weekend? I have had a fantastic few days, it was my best friend's hen do and a group of us went down to Newquay. It was an awesome fun packed weekend, we went horse riding, had breakfast at Jamie Oliver's restaurant (Fifteen) and of course out drinking. On the Saturday we all dressed up in Union Jack dresses a la Ginger Spice. It was great fun.

This is how I did my make up for that night:

and close ups of my eye make up:

For this look I used Barry M dazzle dust in Mint Green, and applied false eye lashes (I used the evening glam pair from Eylure, I can't remember if they had a specific name, I threw the box out.) The lashes are quite long but they felt amazing and I love the way the look, this was only the second time I had worn false lashes but am definitely going to incorporate them into my party make up from now on.

I am super tired from the weekend's activities so I am going to have a long hot bath and crash out. What did you get up to at the weekend?

A sea of blues and greens

So the last post was a purple eye shadow look and I was saying how it was a nice change from my usual blue hues I go for. Having said that I woke up this morning and really wanted to use some fresh blues and greens because it was so bright and sunny outside, feels like spring had most definitely sprung. This is look I came up with:

After applying a white base I used three Barry M dazzle dusts, mint green on the inner corner, baby blue on the middle and finally electric blue on the outer corner and blending all three colours so there was no visible line. To finish I applied black mascara. I love my blues and greens, what colours do you love and keep going back to?

These are the products I used to create this look:

Pink and coffee coloured eyes

As you might have guessed from several of my eyeshadow posts I have done recently I love my blues and greens. I thought I should try and branch out a bit. So I chose bright pink and brown shimmer/ coffee coloured eye shadows.

I quite like this look, I think the pink makes my eyes look more blue, it is a nice change from my usual cooler toned blue and greens. I used Barry M Dazzle Dusts in a lovely pink called Candy on the inner corner and a coffee/brown colour called Old Gold which has a very faint shimmer to it which looks great when the light catches the particles. To finish I curled my lashes and applied a coat of Models Own Big Brush Mascara.
