Paul's Boutique 24/7 - A £10 Perfume

Usually when I buy a new fragrance I do my research, take my time, try a few testers or samples, before heading to the checkout - especially with a more pricey item. However, when I was in town last week I saw a selection of perfumes on sale in Superdrug and grabbed a cheeky purchase.

I bought Paul's Boutique 24/7 perfume for £10 reduced from £20. This purchase was a bit of a gamble because there weren't any testers, I didn't know what this perfume would even smell like.

This was my first Paul's Boutique purchase - luckily I love the smell! It is light but not overly sickly sweet and it lasted all day. I also really like the metallic bottle, I don't own anything else like it - it makes a nice change from the usual glass perfume bottles.

This would make a brilliant birthday gift for a friend - or a weekend treat for yourself, either way this perfume costs £10, you cant grumble at that.

HyperGel polishes - a new varnish by Models Own

Models Own have done it again and are bringing out a new range of gorgeous polishes.

They are due to launch their latest HyperGel polishes in February and are hoping to hold a pre-launch sale.

There will be ten new colours in the collection and all contain lotus flower oil (I am not sure what this adds to the polish but I haven’t come across it with other brands before)

The polishes will dry to a super glossy gel finish – I imagine these to be a similar finish to a Shellac manicure.

Models Own will only host their pre-launch sale if they reach 250,000 likes on Facebook.

Each polish will cost £5 when they hit the shops – Hypergel will launch in UK Bottleshops on Saturday, February 8 and online the following day.

Boots stores across the country will stock the polishes from Wednesday, February 19 while Superdrug will stock then from Wednesday, March 12.

Which ones have you got your eyes on?

Seriously good dry skin saviour

We are still in the grips of winter here in England, North Devon has been hit by some pretty horrific storms recently. Even when the sun does make a fleeting appearance it is still cold here. My skin does not like the cold, I get dry patches and sometimes find my usual scented body lotions just don't cut it.

Recently I have been using Lotil - Seriously good for all dry skin lotion.

I was sent a tub of Lotil cream to try, I have been slathering this all over after a night time bubblebath. This multi purpose product was great for my dry elbows and knees. I also put on a generous amount on my feet and slipped on a pair of socks. In the morning my feet were are soft, cracked heels were gone.

Even though this cream is thick and luxurious, it is non-greasy. This 114ml pot costs £6.29 from Boots. I don't have eczema, but looking at Lotil's website this is safe for people who suffer from eczema.

I have also been using the Lotil lip balm during the day. For the night time I stick with my trusty Blistex Relief cream, but the Lotil lip balm is perfect for the day time. It isn't too thick and a little goes a long way. I hate it when the winter weather dries my skin out, the skin on my lips seems to get quite bad and sometimes bleeds (sorry, TMI). This costs £1.18 from Independent Pharmacies.

Brilliant and cheap makeup brushes

I know we all enjoy reading makeup posts and buying new products. However, do you give brushes much thought? I have a few brushes but nothing super special.
A few Estee Lauder brushes which came as part of a gift with purchase a few years ago. I stumbled across a set of makeup brushes in the Boots half price sale earlier this month and just had to buy them.

These brushes are by 17 and cost £6 in the half price sale. To be honest, if I had seen them before the half price sale I would still have bought them. You get one brush for cheeks, one for lips and three for the eyes.

For the price they are brilliant quality, pick up product well and are easy to work with. On a side note, I also like the white tip on the bristles.

What are your fav brushes?

Macadamia Deep Repair Masque

Macadamia's deep repair masque seems to be a popular hair care product among bloggers so I thought I would give it a try. Easily influenced. I bought the 250ml pot off Amazon for around £12 which was a lot cheaper than my local hair salon was selling it for.

The first thing I noticed about this product was its smell, it is gorgeous, sweet but fresh. The masque itself is very thick and luxurious. The instructions say to only use it twice a week which I will be sticking to. I think because it is so thick it could make your hair greasy if you over use it.

The first time I used the product I felt an instant difference in my hair when styling it. It was softer, smoother and much easier to manage. I washed my hair, smoothed the masque on and carried on my usual shower routine then rinsed the conditioner out.

One thing I will say is you must make sure you thoroughly rinse all of the masque out, if you don't your locks will feel heavy, weighed down and greasy. A little of this masque really does go a long way.

This is the first item I have tried from the Macadamia range but I am impressed. Have you tried this product?
