A while ago I did a post on my bargains which were OPI nail polishes for under £4 from Sallys. This one is called The Color To Watch. If I am honest this is a total fail, disappointment and I am very glad I didn't pay full price for it.
Such a sheer polish, this is four thin coats! FOUR! it was very runny and very streaky, the brush strokes are clear to see.
The saving grace is that it is quite a pretty, delicate colour, lavender with a subtle hint of a light blue shimmer across it. It is such a shame that it takes so much work and so many coats to get a solid colour. Considering OPI usually costs over £10 a bottle, I would expect more, or at least not to have such a watery, sheer varnish. Perhaps it would be a good layering polish? Maybe over black for a nice sheen, has anyone else tried, or had problems with this particular polish?
I have not tried an OPI that didn't cause me problems like this; which is why I'm not a fan at all. I think you did a good job with this one though. :)
ReplyDeleteBummer about the application pains, but it is very pretty. I bet it would look great layered over black.
ReplyDeleteyikes, i hate sheer polishes that take a bajillion coats :( it is really pretty in the end though
