Three Ingredient Cupcakes - Nutella

This afternoon I fancied making some cupcakes - admittedly, I am not much of a baker, but today I wanted to try something new.

I heard about the three ingredient Nutella cupcakes on Facebook - this was my mission.

The beauty of these cupcakes is that you only need three ingredients, Nutella, self raising flour and eggs.

Preheat the oven to 170C.

I used 6 tablespoons of Nutella (because my cupcake cases were quite large) whisk that with two eggs until smooth.

Next sift six tablespoons of self raising flour into another bowl - then continue whisking the flour into the Nutella and egg mixture.

Once everything is incorporated and there are no lumps and bumps spoon the chocolate mixture into cupcake cases. Put in the oven for 15 minutes (or until a fork comes out clean)

Quick and easy cupcakes which went down well with a cuppa.

The taste test was interesting - they were ok, a little bit dry, but worth a go. I have seen other cake recipes using Nutella but they had butter, milk and vegetable oil in them. So I must try that method next time.

Have you tried this three ingredient cupcake method? If so, what did you think?

  1. They look good! I love Nutella but can't have it in the house as my husband is allergic to hazelnuts :(
