Video: How To Water Marble Using Nail Polish: Jewellery

I never did manage to get the technique of water marble quite right on my nails consistently. However, I did manage to get the technique to work in order to create my own jewellery using nail polish.

I used these neon colours by Colour Club to create a water marble ring. The colours (from left to right) are Warhol, Almost Famous, WHAM! POW! and Pucci-licious.

I also filmed the process as I think it is easier to watch a video step by step rather than trying to explain in in a blog post.

Konad: Video tutorial with fluorescent Color Club nail polish

I took the plunge and sat infront of my camera to film a nail tutorial for Youtube. It was my first attempt and I have a lot to learn.

I filmed a Konad nail stamping tutorial using some neon pink and orange polishes from Color Club.

A lot of people will be familiar with the Konad nail stamping kits, but if not please click on my video below which explains the system. I have also shown step by step how the process works. 

For this manicure I used Recondition as a base coat from Seche Vite. The Color Club neon pink is called Jackie Oh while the neon orange is Koo Koo Ka Choo. Well done to Color Club for the amazing nail polish names. 

I also used Konad plate M63 which features several full nail templates.

Dotting Tool Manicure

I hope everyone had a good Christmas - what did you get up to? I haven't posted for about a month, I need to get back into a routine. Has this ever happened to you? I started a new job a few months back and working hours are much longer than before and I attend council meetings a couple of times a month which means I don't get home until late.

 

New Year resolution - get back into the swing of blogging because I enjoy it, it's my hobby.

 

A quick manicure I have been wearing over the last couple of days:

 

 

 

Two coats of Potion by 17 and using a medium and small sized dotting tools with Color Club neon polishes to dot diagonally across the nail. Simple, but bright and fun.

 

 

Simply Done

Using another no named Colour Club polish and Barry M black crackle I came out with this simple manicure:

I have already mentioned in a previous post about my nameless Color Club polishes. I contacted CC about this as I bought a set from TK Max (UK) and they said this was normal for their polishes not to have a bottom name sticker.

I really like how this black crackle looks over this green polish,the green is so vibrant I think the black compliments it well.

Yellow and Purple Crackle Crash

I bought a pack of Color Club polishes which I had found in a TK Max recently, although on closer inspection I found there are no names on the bottles. Has anyone come across this before with Color Club? I have a few other bottles which I was given in swaps with Noir Lacquer (posted from USA) and these always have names on stickers on the bottom.

I contacted Color Club about the nameless polishes, this is what they had to say:

"Yes - this is completely normal. The collections that TJ Max UK take in do not have bottom labels. If you attach a picture I can try to help you identify them! Hope this helps!"

I sent the team a private message via their facebook page and was surprised to see they had responded within an hour an half. I am always pleased they offered to help me identify the polishes. For me that is great customer service, going that extra step to help the customer.

Onto the manicure I have been wearing the last couple of days:

So this is two coats of a nameless yellow from Color Club followed by one coat of purple crackle by Saffron London and a top coat of SV.

A two purple zebra

Playing around with some more polishes from Nicole, a newer Zoya called Jem and a polish she sent me a while ago called Fashion Addict from Color Club. Jem being a deep shimmery plum and Fashion Addict being a light lilac. Here they are are on my nails, two coats of each and the zebra print from Konad plate M57. I stamped using Konad special polish in white and black.

I used Seche Vite to lock the pattern on, take a look at how gorgeous Zoya's Jem is, I just love the richness of this colour.

Finally my other half bought me some flowers, I love carnations, they are one of my fav flowers, they come in such a huge array of colours. 

The pink confetti Revvvvolution

A couple of polishes from my lovely swap partner Nicole over at Noir Lacquer sent me was Color Clubs Revvvolution and Confetti in Pink Confetti. Revvvolution is a gorgeous holographic black whilst Pink Confetti is a pink base polish with a ton of multicolored glitter.

Two coats of Revvvolution and two coats of PC.

I just love the glittery holo effect layering the PC over the Revvv.

Holographic dreams

Another polish from Nicole is Worth The Risque from Color Club, a gorgeous silver holo. I haven't tried Color Club until now and I am really thrilled with it. 

The polish applies like an absolute dream, smooth, non streaky and a lot easier than the Gosh holo. This polish didn't have that annoying balding that the Gosh seems to have and this one was good to go in two coats.

The holo in real life is amazing, not as vibrant as the Gosh holo and these pictures don't do this polish justice at all. Infact I had a really hard time trying to capture the affect, does anyone have any tips for photographing these types of varnish?
