A teal nail junkie

Two polishes sent over from Nicole from Noir Lacquer which I hadn't yet tried together was Teal by Nabi and Nail Junkie by Sinful. Two coats of the Teal then two coats of Nail Junkie. Love this combination! vibrant and glittery.

These colours are great together, Nicole knows what I like, so thank you for picking these two up for me! These would make a great Christmas combination. (I know, I said the C word! at work we are not allowed to mention Christmas till at least mid November!)

I was curious.....

I gave in and bought a crackle polish, I got the Barry M one in black, I actually got this a while ago but never got round to using it. So I wanted to give it a try.

These are the polishes I used as a base:

Models Own - Feeling Blue
Models Own - Snow White
Models Own - Fuzzy Peach
China Glaze - Turned up Turquoise
Nabi - Bright Purple

This is how each looks with the Barry M crackle top coat:

Models Own Feeling Blue

Models Own Snow White

Models Own Fuzzy Peach

China Glaze Turned Up Turquoise

Nabi Bright Purple

I am very on the fence with this particular crackle top coat.

I quite like the way it looks over Turned up Turquoise and Feeling Blue and no two nail effects are the same. You can get different crackle patterns depending on how thickly (or thinly) you paint the top coat on. On my left and right hand you can see how differently it turned out.

Thin coat
 Thick coat

I used China Glaze non chip top coat over the crackle, it dries to a matt finish and I much prefer a glossy finish. The consistency of the Barry M crackle is very thick and I had to work quickly otherwise it can dry before I had a chance to try and paint it evenly over my nail.

I like the novelty, but I won't be buying it in different colours or different brands.
Do you like the crackle trend or are you fed up of companies bringing out their versions? I for one would much prefer a holo trend.

Bright purple white stars

Here is a simple manicure I created when I was pushed for time, I used two coats of Bright Purple by Nabi. This is one of the polishes Nicole from Noir Lacquer sent me for my birthday.

The polish applied very well, although I would say the polish looks more pink than purple, it didn't take long to dry either. I then stamped a a star design on each nail from Konad plate M15 with the Konad's white special polish.

See what I mean, it is definitely more pink than purple....

I hadn't used this design from my Konad kit before, I tend to favor the full nail stamps, but I really like how this turned out. I am keen to get the bundle monster plates to see how they stand up against Konad.
