My first scotch tape manicure

I saw a wonderful scotch tape manicure on the lovely blog Chloe's Nails recently and was amazed at how you can create a wonderful nail look just by using scotch tape. I had to try this method.

First I painted my nails with China Glaze Turned up Turquoise and waited for them to dry. I then cut really thin strips of scotch tape and placed them over my nails in a variety of patterns. The next step is to paint a black nail polish all over the top, I just used Barry M. After the black had dried I carefully peeled away the scotch tape. You can then see the gorgeous turquoise underneath, I then finished with a top coat of China Glaze Fairy Dust.
I love the way this looks and I think it still looks good on short nails. I want to try different colours underneath soon!
