I love cake!

I have a bit of a weakness for cake, I love the stuff and enjoy eating it with lots of cups of tea! I enjoy pretty much any kind of cake, apart from banana cake. I was shopping in Sainsburys recently and came across a fab cake which I just had to buy! 




Now I am not a gamer, I had a Nintendo Game Boy back in the day, but that was about it, I loved Pac Man and Space Invaders! My other half is a hard core gamer so this cake was really for him. We had a generous helping this afternoon with tea. What cakes do you enjoy?

    My mum bakes the most amazing cakes - she made a carrot cake with cream cheese icing this week but I didn't have any since I live in London :/

    Natalie - I just love birthday cake, icing with a sponge jam and buttercream, have to admit the look of this was the novelty for me!

    Hi Jenny - aw thanks, it was ok, sponge wasn't as moist as I would have liked but the butter cream was nice!

    Cateswell - Aw no, you will have to ask your mum to save you a slice, what is your fav cake your mum makes? I love homemade cakes.

    Cerina - hee hee it is :-) cheese cake is good too, what is your fav?

    Hi Nicole, the best cake my mum makes is by far the birthday special that she makes my brother, dad and I. It's a really simple chocolate spice cake with chocolate buttercream - so lovely. She makes it extra cinnamony for me every year.

    Though to be honest, all her cakes are pretty fab!
