Forever Living goodies

I have to admit I am terrible at using body lotions. People who use it religiously after every bath and shower - how do you manage it?
I enjoy using it, when I remember!

Anna Terry is a seller of goodies from Forever Living which is a specialist brand containing aloe vera. She kindly sent me a few sample sachets to try out.

I tried the Aloe Moisturizing Lotion, the Aloe Heat Lotion, the Aloe Vera Gelly and the Aloe Proplis Creme.

This is what the moisturizing lotion and aloe vera gelly products look like full size.

The Aloe Moisturizing Lotion was a pleasure to use, it applied smoothly and sunk into my skin easily. It wasn't sticky which  was a bonus as I find some aloe vera products can leave a bit of a residue on my skin. I also liked the way this lotion smelled. It had a light, fresh smell which reminded me of talcum powder.

The Aloe Vera Gelly lotion was one of my favs from the batch. The clear gel was thicker than the lotion was, however, it left my skin silky smooth without that sticky feeling.

Since we have had some brilliant sunshine here in the UK I used the aloe vera gel on by shoulders after they got a tad sunburned. The gel absorbed into my skin easily and helped calm the horrible burn.

Not only does the brand have body products, they also do aloe vera drinks, supplements and makeup.

The Sweet Shop Collection - Scented nail polish - new from Models Own

Models Own is hands down one of my best loved high street makeup brands. Their latest nail polish collection is just another reason why.

The purse-friendly brand has released a new collection of nail polishes inspired by the sweets we loved during our childhoods.

The Sweet Shop collection is a scented nail polish collection which consists of Pear Drops, Fizzy Cola Bottles, Rhubarb and Custard, Liquorice Allsorts and Gumballs.

Pear Drops is a bright coral shade, Fizzy Cola Bottles is a neutral beige-brown, Rhubarb and Custard is a dark red shade, Liquorice Allsorts is a simple opaque black and Gumballs is a hot pink shade.

Once dry each polish smells like their names.

Each polish will cost £5 and the collection launches from the Models Own website on Friday, July 25.

Bottleshops in the UK will stock the new collection on Saturday, July 26 and Superdrug will sell them in stores across the country on July 30.

What do you think of this latest collection?

I love the look of the Gumballs polish!

Hair feeling dry and frazzled?

I am a fiend to my hair.

After years of drying, straightening, curling and dying it there was little wonder my poor locks were feeling unloved and frazzled.

I enjoy coming across new hair care products, especially ones which claim to smooth out dry and damaged hair.

Recently I have been enjoying using this shampoo and conditioner from Biotin & Collagen.

The company have launched their latest products, OGX Biotin and Collagen shampoo and conditioner which aims to make hair feel thicker and fuller.

Biotin & Collagen said: “A high performance blend of powerful ProVitamin B7 biotin infuses nutrients into every strand, while plumping collagen adds volume and dimension, and hydrolyzed wheat proteins strengthen, for thicker, fuller, healthier looking hair.”
After the first wash my hair was instantly softer and smooth and there weren't as many tangles which was an added bonus.
A little bit of the shampoo really goes a long way, the liquid lathers up well and washes clean away without leaving my hair heavy or weighed down.

OGX is paraben free and not tested on animals. This latest offering from the hair care brand can be found in Boots for £6.99.
