"Get in loser, we're going shopping"

It had been a while since I wandered round town. I didn't anything but here are a couple of bits I picked up a couple of weeks ago.

Nivea In-Shower Skin Conditioner - I have used this a few times since I bought it. I am not sure whether I would repurchase it. If I used too much my skin would feel oily and not in a good way. Perhaps in the winter this would be a great product, we shall wait and see.

Imperial Leather new foamburst shower gel in green tea and jasmine. These gels smell amazing! They brought out the foamburst line years ago, but these scents in the black cans are new.

Boots had a buy one get one half price on all Barry M Nail Paints. I picked up a couple of the gelly polishes in Guava and Blue Grape. Not that I need anymore nail polish but I hadn't tried the gelly line before.

I asked #bbloggers on Twitter if they knew of any creme shadows similar to the Maybelline Color Tattoos. The popular answer was 17. So I tried the Wild Green pot.

Superdrug had Batiste dry shampoo on offer - better than half price- this supersized can cost £4.99 full price, but I picked it up for £2.48. Can't grumble at that.

My mum bought me the Nivea Double Effect Eye Make-Up Remover. I usually use the Olay cream remover, so it will be good to try something new.

Finally, one of my all time favorites - No7 Revitalising Hand Saviour. This is an oily scrub for your hands. I cannot praise this product enough, it gets rid of dry, flaky skin instantly and leaves hands silky soft.

I finally upgraded my old phone and went for the Nokia Lumia 920 in bright yellow. I have only had the handset a few days, but so far, so good.

NEW NAIL POLISH: Velvet Goth - Models Own

Models Own have done it again.

They have released a new nail polish range called Velvet Goth - five shades with a unique finish.

Left to right we have: Valerian, Amethyst, Obsidian, Sardonyx and Absinthe.

Each bottle cap is colour matched in velvet - attention to detail which I love - I don't think any other high street brand has come out with this before.

Velvet Goth will be launched in all Model's Own bottle shops across the country on August 24 and online on September 2.

The rest of us can get our hands on the collection in Boots stores from September 25.

(Bottleshops are in Westfield London, Westfield Stratford and Bluewater.)

Maybelline Color Tattoo

I had read a lot of hype surrounding Maybelline's 24 hour Color Tattoo pots. The last time I was a sheep and followed the crowd with a hyped up product I was left very disappointed.

When I read about these cream eyeshadows pots I had my reservations. Remember those cream/mousse eyeshadows in the tube from the late 90's which creased like nobody's business and ended up half way down your face by the end of the day? I was concerned these would do the same - so I only bought one pot to begin with - the Light in Purple.

How wrong I was. I loved the product application, smooth, not cakey and it lasted all day without budging. I was so impressed I went back for more.

From left to right we have Turquoise Forever, Metallic Pomegrante and Light in Purple.

These cost £4.99 each, a little goes a long way so they will last a long time. As you can see the colour payoff is fantastic, the swatches are on their own without a base. They don't take much work to look good which is fantastic if time is not on your side.

Have you tried these? If so which shades are your favorite?
